2016 was a bit of a thin year for me (I seem to have said something similar last year.)
It started at RAF Lossiemouth for Joint Warrior 16-1 with a deployment of some Turkish F-16s, MPAs and various support aircraft, not forgetting the locals:
A friendly wave from a Lakenheath based HH-60:
Zaragoza and the Nato Tiger Meet:
The marvellous "Fly Navy" day at Old Warden:
The annual pilgrimage to RAF Fairford and the RIAT:
To finish up, a memory of my first ever visit to Maurice Hammond's Hardwick Warbirds.
This was at the June open day and at the time I had no idea that "Marinell" had been sold and would soon depart. Several weeks later there was even worse news with the accident of "Janie" on approach to Hardwick. Mr Hammond survived but unfortunately his passenger didn't. I wish him well in his recuperation and all the best to the volunteers who look after the museum.

Some lovely shots there Mike, and especially that last one. The accident was gutting.
I had no idea Marinell had been sold. Is it staying in this country? I've never seen it, despite a number of attempts its alluded me.

Nik Coleman (the Hardwick Warbirds spokesman,) mentioned that Marinell departed for its new owner in Europe on the day of the accident.
A quick search on G-INFO gives the new owner's location being Brescia in Italy.

Re: 2016 review.
Oh no, what a dreadful coincidence.
Thanks for the info - I did do a quick google last night but couldn't find any mention of it changing hands.
And apologies for the thread creep, these are a fine set of shots, full of spectacle.
