Why are the stars and bars on the C47 that lighter shade of blue? Is it authentic or are they in the process of being replaced and in undercoat or something?

Nice shots by the way, I particularly like the underside of the Yak for some reason.

Thanks!

I'm afraid I don't know why it's a funny shade of blue, it's recently been repainted but overall it doesn't seem like a great paint job as it's peeling off on the top of the fuselage already!
