Paris flypast 14 July

Post by trend71uk »

Visited Paris for a few days with the wife. Conveniently scheduled to take in the Bastille day flypast :) Some shots taken from Les Invalides. With thanks to my long suffering wife for her tolerance!

On current plans though, the RAF should compare quite nicely thank you very much!

A reminder of what an excellent inventory the French have, and how pitiful ours is by comparison...

Two types of specialised maritime patrol aircraft, when we no longer even have one...

That's encouraging, all those grey and green unmarked heaps will look super..

Great Flypast well captured in your Tourist guise.
If there is still an RAF next year...can we have the Reds at the front without smoke? That way the other 6 planes don't get obscured, leading to anybody missing them all! :tumbleweed:
Then when they double-back to make-up the numbers... they can fly through with smoke, to hide any further embarassment.

Very nice, they really do have great front line types.

My only slight disappointment seeing these however is the lack of all the special schemes they currently have, Navy Rafale, at least four Air Force Rafales and the lovely EC2/2 Mirage 2000, they could have sent all those to RIAT. :handbag:

The Falcon 2000 was a bit of a let down amongst those. :hide:

Thanks for posting

Terrific pictures of an excellent flypast, certainly sets the bar for next year. No French heritage types though, lest we forget how lucky we are that the RAF still has the BBMF.
