Duxford Battle of Britain airshow 22 and 24-09-2017

Post by SEMAE »

Hi

Rather late but some of my pics.

A good line up although nothing in terms of modern jet action.

I quite enjoyed the day but I did think that the Spitfire tail chase on the Sunday far was a little too far away with the image size in my 1.6 crop camera attached to a 500mm lens only marginally more than half the frame.

A few other aircraft however were closer.

The Hurricane formation at the start was probably a nice idea to many but for me after seeing a stunning tailchase of Hurricanes at 2017 Flying Legends with almost as many aircraft, I was a bit underwhelmed and it reminded me too much of the 2016 Spring show.

Much of the flying on Friday was closer and it was a more enjoyable day. Although the flying was much less , there is quite a high chance of getting a type of shot you will not see on a show day, weather permitting

Thanks

Martin Eames

I do like the Bearcat shot with its gear down.
