Middle Wallop Gazelle 50th birthday bash

Post by capercaillie »

A nice little event organised by Threshold.aero at Middle Wallop brought out some beautiful weather and some nice attendees, although perhaps a little lighter on the Gazelle front than planned, and disappointing that the Boscombe Down aircraft never made the huge distance across to Wallop. The Austers and co were a nice addition, next year should be full of them!

There were some current military Gazelles

Lovely set, Paul. The scheme on November Oscar reminds me very much of Hunter "Miss Demeanor".

Nice shots, MW is much missed as an Airshow location, particularly with light like you had there. The " whistling chicken leg " I've always thought is quite pretty for a chopper, though I do love an Auster.

Fine stuff, Paul! :worship:

One of my favourite events of this year. Nice and low-key, great aircraft, and some nice flying from the French birds at the end!
