Night Photography at Lossie MY First Attempt

Post by Armadillos »

Well last week myself and patrner in crime Ianf took a trundle upto Lossie and whilst there decided to take advantage of the night flying going on. Not many movements (just as well really as i`ve never done a night shot before) however i`m pretty please with my results.

A full looking pan could it hold some promise of potential for the night?

Then before long something did indeed stir :yahoo:

And here she is sat blazing nicely in the night on the runway

Well as usual any hints, tips, pointers and comments very welcome

Like the 3rd shot - Did a similar one when I was there last as can be seen below:

full sized one can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jamesv9820/2445965497/

shot on a tripod (naturally), ISO 160 on 8 seconds - The only tips I could say is invest in a remote control shutter and shoot in RAW so you can play around with the image later

Nope no objections from plod at all in are whole time up at Lossie.

But was abit uneasy doing the night shooting as i was fairly convinced that at night the golf course lane at Lossie becomes a dogging location!
