STS-130 Go Endeavour

STS-130 Go Endeavour

Postby Teamafcukyeah on Tue 09 Feb 2010, 1:42 am

Well it was a 23 hour delay due to weather but it made it. I have to say having wanted to witness one of these for some time, it was worth the effort. Probably the most difficult subject to capture I have ever experienced.

Anyway on with the images - perhaps strictly not military, but its as near dammit.

Only 4 more launches to go until the end of the programme.

It is a shame the Shuttle will be going soon, it is as amazing to see now just as it was at the very first launch back in '81, but unfortunately it is well over 30 years old !

Very nice! Always like looking at pics like these.
I was 'there' when Endeavor was brand new and watched it's very first ever launch.
Got up close on the last bus to go up to the pad itself the afternoon before launch....then watched it from Cocoa Beach
