OPERATION PODIUM - CF-18 Hornet flying CAP over the Olympics

Post by HAZER 35 »

Canadian CF-18's are flying missions over the skies of Vancouver during the Olympics right now. These CF-18's are flying with the recent kit including SNIPER pods, JMHCS helmets or NVG goggles. Here are a few pics from across the pond!

Very cool, have you been able to get up close to the Griffons providing helicopter-based security?
Do you want the Aladeen news or the Aladeen news?

wow 740 still has it's special markings on from 2002, we're lucky if the RAF keep a special scheme for more than a few months!!
if i remember correctly, I saw it at Red Flag in September 2002, with aussie F111s and C130s, Israeli F15D's and I's and singapore F16s amongst others- happy days!
fantastic shots all !!
