San Javier - Spanish Air Force Training

San Javier - Spanish Air Force Training

Postby Kevin Martin on Mon 31 Jan 2011, 6:48 pm

Hi all,

Last week I attempted to escape the cold weather of the UK to visit Spain and the Spanish Air Force academy at San Javier. Plenty of flying with some nice visiting/detached aircraft but unfortunately it coincided with an unusual for the region cold wet spell! Typical!

Many more can be found on my Flickr at http://www.flickr.com/kevinmartin1/sets if interested…..

Thanks for looking;

Kevin

Casa 101’s of Ala 79. The 101’s in Patroulle Aguila colours were flying as trainers and not practicing their 2011 routines.

Hi ikarus,

These are taken from the outside where you can't see the ramps very well but you do get to see all the action when it moves.

Thanks for the comments,

Kevin

Nice set, look like the spot near the camp site, went there a few years back pre DSLR days. Time for a re-visit :clap:

Hi Crizz,

These are from the outside. I see from your site you were in Spain at the same time as me. I was going up to Albecete on the 27th but saw the weather looked awful, which your report on your site seems to confirm!

Thanks,

Kevin
