STS-133 Space Shuttle Discovery inc daytime long exposure

Post by Air Male »

On the second attempt I managed to view the final launch of Discovery from the NASA causeway.

Taken on our arrival at the causeway, 6 miles from the launch pad.

And finally.........

36 sec exposure, B&W ND110 Neutral density filter.
So far I'm not aware of another daytime long exposure image of a Shuttle launch.

Terrific. #s 2&4 are exceptional. I always wished I had witnessed a shuttle launch before they went...

Superb photos, considering the distance you were from the launch site.

Neither am I - beautiful. Hope you've been punting that around a bit, it's got that "poster on a few thousand walls" feeling.

Dave,

Absolutely love number two, for me its much better than the long exposure, for sheer wow factor, although I applaud the technical acheivement of the long exposure, no chance of trying again!!!!

How many aircraft can produce its own cloud and then fly through it

Thanks for posting.

Cheers,
Jeff.
I know you think you understood what I said, but I'm not sure you realise that what I said is not what I meant.
