Ospreys over Helmand

Following on my first Afghan topic from late last year [http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=38829&p=385629&hilit=Afghanistan#p385629] I thought I would post some of the Marine Corps rotary-wing assets involved in Operation Enduring Freedom. These MV-22s were assigned to VMM-264 'Black Knights' normally based at MCAS New River in North Carolina. The Ospreys were impressive to see, but despite their capabilities, Helmand isn't really big enough to get the best use out of them and they suffer a fair bit in the heat and the dust. Nonetheless, it was a great experience meet the crews, do interviews and as you can see some good access for snapping, especially at night.
