Absolutely superb shots and lovely light too. On each of the Tornado head on shots with the aircraft taxying it is possible to see a little hatch open on the aircraft's port side (in the direction of travel) in line with the ejection warning triangle by the navigator. I don't remember ever noticing it before and was wondering whether anybody knows what it is?

And I thought I was observant (1) Nothing special then.

Hah! Never noticed that before, it's also open during take off but not in the old "recce" equipped birds...

Hi,

A very nice set of pictures. The head on taxi shots of the pair are simple but look superb.

Lovely set of shots with great light to boot. I'm really liking the Sea King shots.

I have noticed this too and am also curious to know what they are for. In addition to the one mentioned above, there is another hatch open below the RAF roundal most noticable in pics 10, 11 and 13. Also if you look at pics 7, 16 and 20, you will notice another hatch open just below the cannon (or where the cannon shoud be on the GR4A's).

Cheers again for the comments,
Paul
