Colourful ECR Tornados at Lechfeld Base in sunny May
After the horrible weather during the Italian AF Tornado detachment in April we had a nice day at Lechfeld to catch both special painted ECR Tornados of JaboG 32. The main focus was the Monster Tonka in this perfect weather. Unfortunately this beauty has just a few FH left, currently it should be less then 10 till scrapping.
Early morning 8:45 local
The Tiger will participate at NTM 2012
Hang loose
Some of the LTG61 Transall are based at Lechfeld for 3 month due to runway repair at their homebase Landsberg/Penzing
Welcome to 322 squardon - the Monsters
Back after the flight
Some photos of the beauty
Hope you like it, and C&C are always welcome.

Nice set there! That last Tornado looks evil, whoever thought up the scheme is a genius!
Re: Colourful ECR Tornados at Lechfeld Base in sunny May
Very nice indeed - the Germans really do themselves proud with all this stunning artwork. I prefer the Tiger scheme I think

The tail of the Tiger Jet looks superb but I think the fuselage is a little OTT

Two excellent schemes, would love to see the Monster jet at RIAT this year! Excellent photos too, well done.

Absolutely, a superb set but the elevated shots and those in front of the HAS really stand out.

THAT is what RAF specials should be like

Thats a shame. Do they still have the "Lego" Tiger Tonka as well? The ECRs seem to be not having very long lives in comparison to the strike aircraft, only 15-18 years of service?

Yes and no. Before the 46+29 became a Monster it was wearing the Lego Tiger scheme. The Monster livery is painted over the old Lego scheme as you can see in the photo. There is a Tiger deep inside every Monster

Cracking set of pics! All the colourful Tornado's are nice but I've always wanted to see the white C-160!

I do love the schemes the Germans come up with, great set of shots.
