Elmendorf AFB 080415

Post by KarlADrage »

Morning all,

Continuing our Red Flag Alaska tour, we were also fortunate enough to be hosted by Elmendorf AFB - home of the 3rd Wg and their F-15C/Ds of the 19th FS, the F-22As of the 90th FS, the C-12s and C-17s of the 517th AS and the E-3B/C of the 962nd AACS.

In addition sixteen F-15C/Ds were present for the exercise from the 60th FS, 33rd FW, Eglin AFB, FL, six F-22As from 325th FW, Tyndall AFB, FL, as well as visiting E-3s from the 961st AACS, 18th Wg, Kadena AFB, Japan, and our own 8/23 Sqns from RAF Waddington.

After a quick look at the ramp we were whisked off to the fire station where we'd spend the rest of the morning on the roof!

The afternoon was a total white out.

Sincere thanks go to Sgt Jared Marquis and Sgt Mikel Canfield for hosting us so well.

Good stuff, and not TOO much overlap again mate! Still love the look on the back seater's face on shot 6 (incentive ride)- must have been a shock to the system!

Cheers,
Paul

That caught my eye aswell, looks like his head's pinned to the seat
Another great set, you boys must have had some fun. I think one of the other guys had a similar one of shot 3 doing well on A.net recently.

Great shooting as always Karl

I'm loving no.3, great use of thirds and a nice lead in with the heathaze. :topbombing:
If enough power is good, & more is better, than WAY TOO MUCH should be just about right!!!

That first F-15 (shot 14) giving it the beans is a stonking shot.

Great shots Karl, love no.3 and the Eagle's on the runway. F-22s just look drab on a grey day I'm afraid, whatever way you shoot 'em!
