Dutch F-35A F-002 Maiden Flight

Was fortunate to catch the F-002 F-35A flying yesterday 6-27-2013.

She did an hr 15 minutes flight ... and did multiple touch and goes when returning.

:P all simles ! even thought it was a really really hot Summer weather in Ft worth TX! 105 degree F! :mad:

Lovely shots! Forgive my ignorance, but will all F-35s look so patchy on top or is this just during the testing?

That seems to be on production F35 that I have caught so far ! all have those taped up panels!

So! i guess thats consistant on all of them ! like a Patched up work.

see the Marines F-35B for VMFA-121 same patch work!

RAF at Eglin AFB took delivery on BK-03 as well this week, to be used to train engineers

You could be waiting for sometime yet as the Pentagon is currently mulling over a delay to it's production, which if it goes ahead will see the cost per aircraft rise even further and will put the export market in jeopardy.

Maye a more subtle colour scheme would suit? How about Miss Demeanour's scheme :heyhey: :grin:

Surely it's going to get some paint? It looks like the BDRT lads have gone at it with hammers :grin:

Going cheap, 2 partially built Aircraft carriers (un-used), no aircraft included in the deal! :biggrin:

I've seen far better finished BDR airframes !
Aah well at least we can all go back to shooting B&W and not have to caption our images " done for a retro WW2 feel"... :whistle: :roll:
