Bwlch Top Shelf, 24th September.

Postby JackyRIATWilson on Fri 27 Sep 2013, 8:45 pm

Evening all,

About time I uploaded these really! Went to the Bwlch on Tuesday with a friend of mine, Rob (airworld on FC) and had a really sloooooooow morning! Probably a good reason... and there was! The pile of mist/fog/low cloud was really hard to budge, but then it did mostly, and a 29(R) Squadron Typhoon broke the silence. :yahoo:

So after that, it was the turn of 2 PIRATE callsigns to buzz the scanners.

Then after that, was a loooong wait! Then eventually, after 15 minutes of radio silence since it last popped up, MARHAM 54 popped around the corner! So I flicked my camera on and took some photos... unaware that I had triggered the blasted A-DEP mode on my camera, and therefore the photos were too over-exposed and not at the right settings! :wall: So here is that rescue job of the aircraft, probably not the best, but it's somewhat salvageable!

And finally, to round off the set, here is the second of the PIRATE pair that came through the Bwlch on Tuesday! With a female PAX in the back to boot!

Hope these are OK guys, was using a 600D and 400 f/5.6L USM, this is the lens for me! Got to endure the long wait for a trip back to the Loop, I head back to university next week!

Cheers for looking,

Jack.

First three are fantastic. I do a lot of meandering in the mountains and an never had a cloud inversion yet in the UK, only ever abroad. Love number 14 as well.

Thanks Pedro, much appreciated! Definitely cursed when I saw it on the LCD screen! Can't wait to get the 70D, hopefully when I lock the mode on Manual in the problem should eradicate itself.
