Commented on most of these on Flickr Craig, but they really are cracking shots, one of the best sets I have seen from Coningsby!

Really liking these images, particularly the crop details. Your dark sky exposures are superb, but I personally would have liked to have seen the 'whole' airframe in # 17?....I'm very envious of your PP. skills as they bring-out the best on a great selection. Well done Sir!

Long time since I've posted. Great set. Love number 10.

One question I do have though. Why does the pilots helmet in shot 4 have lumps all over it?

Cheers

Hi Craig,

Stunning, I really should have cried off work and come up after all! It looks like you got the conditions that you wanted. As for the helmet, that's the HMSS (Helmet Mounted Symbology System), which is a fancy name for a helmet mounted sight. That's been due for the Typhoon fleet for years, but has only gradually been introduced over the last few years.

Poor panning I'm afraid to chop the tail off! I may have one of the whole airframe...

Shots 10 and 11 are superb, whats with the 'lumps and bumps' helmet in the close up shot.
