Coningsby into dusk again.

Coningsby into dusk again.

Gents,

After the attempt a fortnight ago, I was able to make another unexpected run to Lincolnshire again on Thursday. It was again rather quiet, with the on/off weather not helping matters either but surprisingly it all came together again at the end.

'Rebel 60' coming out of the shelters, which is unusual as 41 Sqn, the trials unit, usually live on the other side of the airfield. I was very surprised to see two AIM-120 warshots loaded (front left and right rear fuselage stations) as besides QRA and ferrying to operational deployments you don't normally see these carried. I never did find out if he brought both back, as he landed after dusk.

They were working 07 this time as the light went down, but again it all came together at the right moment.

I don't think I'll ever win anything photographing in the dark, but with two departing to Leuchars in 'burners after dusk it was worth a go.

The first two Typhoon dusk shots are really nice. Great set of pics.
