Evening in nest full of Fulcrums by sfw. Update!

Postby sfw on Mon 17 Mar 2014, 4:12 pm

The winter is definitely gone so it's time to renew my aircraft photographic skills to be ready for airshow season. My first visit in 23 TAB of the Polish Air Force, one of two home nest of MiG-29 fulcrum.

I can't pick a favourite, all superb!

Do you mind me asking what speed the night Mig-29 shots were taken at? :worship:
6D | 7D | 60D
11-16 f/2.8 | 24-105 IS L | 70-300 IS USM | 50 f/1.4 | 100 f/2.8 | 400 f/5.6

Speed you mean ISO or shutter speed?

So, to stay on relatively acceptable ISO speed I tried to keep shutter speed 1/50 - 1/60s. ISO the same time was switching somewhere between 10000 and 25600.
Exact values for each photo you will find in Exifs.

For me....The winter is definitely gone so it's time to get some aircraft photographic skills to be ready for airshow season.
If this is what you produce when practising, then no wonder your Kecskemet & Axalp shots were so good!
Fantastic & imaginative imaging of the highest quality. Please remind me again, Eos 1D Mk IV bodies? (ISO is the clue!)

For high ISO shots 1Dx has been used. 1DMKIV I can trust only up to ISO 10000. ;)
