Japan - Hyakuri airbase - F-4s and more!

Postby sovietjet on Thu 02 Oct 2014, 2:06 am

In June I was in Japan and for part of my trip I visited Hyakuri airbase, home of the F-4s  . The Phantoms were very active, both recce and interceptor versions. The resident F-15s, T-4s, U-125 and H-60 also flew a little. As well as some visitors including T-4s from Iruma and a Huey. Japanese pilots are so friendly! So many of them waved as they saw me. I slacked on editing these and just got to them this week. Enjoy

I see you went to the "Towers".

What a base, I could happily live shot F-4s there everyday.

Great set, the UH-1 is especially nice but do like the last show of the F-4.

Thanks for posting

An excellent set of photos   I just love the Phantoms

I'll be in Tokyo in March for a couple of days as part of a holiday  . However, my only free day will be a Sunday. Is there likely to to be much/any activity, or am I better to find a museum to visit? Any help will be appreciated.

TIA

Weekends are usually quiet sadly, unless there is a show on such as Komaki on the 15th.

Thanks for the comments. I also wouldn't recommend going on a Sunday. Weekdays is pretty much when all the action is.
