Alpine Rescue Hueys

Alpine Rescue Hueys

Postby GME-AirFoto on Sun 18 Jan 2015, 1:17 pm

Now after the publications have been released, I can show you some images of the German Army UH-1D "Hueys" flying in the SAR role.
The main business of Einsatzgruppe SAR, based at Landsberg-Penzing Air Base in southern Bavaria, is military search and rescue. But these experts in mountain rescue flying also help hikers, climbers and anyone else who gets into trouble in the Bavarian Alps. Some images of our flights in the Alps:

Third from last is pretty magic.

I can't imagine it was easy to get some blur on the main rotors during an air-to-air mission without losing the rest of the aircraft!
