Rainbow/Star Wars Canyon

Rainbow/Star Wars Canyon

Postby Fumbles on Sat 14 Feb 2015, 2:17 am

I had the chance to visit Nellis AFB for Red Flag 15-1 and while there I returned to the famous Star wars/Rainbow Canyon to break in the new camera. For the New Year I bought the new Pentax K3 and wow! I do love it!

Thanks for the great company and chat during the slow times on both days I was out there... You guys know who you are. It sure was great to meet some new faces including a few from this forum.

So on with the first pictures of the new camera.
Comments and Criticism good or bad always welcome.

Interesting the South Dakota F-16 was in there. I was under the impression that Red Flag participants generally stay away from Rainbow Canyon. I can't help but say the pics you are posting here maybe look a little more soft/blurry/out of focus than what I have seen from you in the past. I don't know if it has anything to do with your new camera or not, but thought I would throw it out there

The South Dakota F-16's that have been flying through the canyon during February are apparently on detachment at March AFB to cover Southern Californian QRA.

Excellent shots. What lens have you paired with the K3?
