Marham 57 (a few more added 24.4)

I was really kicking myself as last week I saw the weather forecast for Wales for last Tuesday and it was a beautiful day, well it was nationwide! I thought about going to the loop but decided that I wouldn't and I could have kicked myself when I found I'd missed umpteen F-15 passes amongst other things! So I was rather delighted when checking the forecast for this week and seeing that today would be a similar day weather-wise. I was a bit unsure when I reached Shrewsbury as the fog was as thick as a bag and once at The Bwlch, the cloud was very low and wasn't burnt off until at least 11am. Unfortunately there were no A-10's or F-15s but Hawks, a Hercules and this Tornado saved the day.
I have to say that I was rather disappointed when I arrived at the car park at 8am to find no spaces at all! It was a real shame that the hobby has been 'discovered'. It reminds me of the Hancock's Half Hour episode 'Wild Man of the Woods' where Tony becomes a hermit - but right at the end gives it all up because everybody else wanted to become a hermit!!! Ah well. . . !

Anyway, here's Marham 57 on its only pass through The Bwlch.

2nd shot is a peach!

I found the Bwlch car park full this morning, with people parking on the roadside verge. First time I've seen that. Must be A-10 fever or something.

In fairness its been happening for a good number of years now, I remember Cad W being full on a couple of occasions in 2010.

He was definitely a day saver, nice catch with the shadow.

Thanks, more luck that judgement I think! I haven't been up for a few years but I guess normal service will resume!

I've been told that the tornado went tech the following day and has now departed to Leeming. Any truth in this?
