Tankbusters at the Heath - Operation Atlantic Resolve

Post by JonoUK »

Hi All,

Well what a frustrating deployment that was, I had the option of heading out to catch the A-10's on any day of my choosing but the bad weather was persistent all week, of course their arrival and departure was in the sun! I headed out on the Wednesday having missed their last visit nearly four years ago with determination to see something. It was a challenging day for flying and a challenging day for shooting but the left turn back down the taxiway was very special. Here's my record of day.

Thanks to Gavin for the company and making the waiting game that bit easier!

Cheers

Nice set...

Didn't notice it before, but on the first two pics of 956, it looks like the nose cone has been given a good going over with some kind of blunt instrument... Surprised it didn't have a nose bleed...

Love those head-on shots, they really show off the profile of the jet
