8 Sqn Centenary Jet Arrives @ Coningsby.

Post by dinger »

Caught arriving at Coningsby this evening was the 100th anniversary marked E-3D operated by 8 Sqn. This was the first flight since it received the markings and the evening light for its arrival could not have been better.

Only just Rich. If it had been 5 minutes earlier it would have been in cloud.

Nice shots  Quite like the scheme - do you have any close ups of the tail design?

These are the only two edits that I have done. I can do a tail close up if desired. It wont be done until tomorrow night though.

Excellent catch on the subtle special marks airframe, which somehow seems to work okay. Good Luck & Good shooting combined
Personally I'm still a tad aggrieved that the Shackleton didn't get a nod in the design, after-all they flew the AEW2 in 8 Sqn service for a longer period than all other individual types utilised or featured?
