It can only be Yuma & El Centro! The land of the Tiger!

It can only be Yuma & El Centro! The land of the Tiger!

Hi guys,

A week or so I was travelling California covering a few shows for UKAR (articles coming soon). In the downtime, among other locations, I spent time at El Centro and Yuma.

El Centro saw a USMC forward detachment with live ordnance, RAF Wokkas and AAC Apaches. There was a WTI on going at Yuma, this place really is USMC central, with over 16 types noted over just one day!

Here's a few shots from the visit to these two bases, can't wait to go back!

I'd appreciate a few comments please as these have appeared a tad oversharpended (to me anyway) after uploading to Flickr from Lighroom.

Ta

Andy

All great shots Andy... But that opening shot wow! Where did you get that one from? Was it near the fair grounds or the other end? All my times to Yuma, the F-5s turn finals way out in the distance on both ends.

Thanks guys, they were all taken with the Sigma 150-600mm Sports.

The take-off shots were taken at the SW End parked off South Avenue A.

The chopper/landing/turning finals shots were taken at the NE End parked on the dirt area on the opposite side of East 32nd Street from the base between South Avenue 2 1/2 East and South Avenue 3 East

All the shots are geotagged, click through them to flickr then click on the map to see the precise location.

Thanks again.
