North Cornwall catch-up

Post by PeteM »

Here are a few from Cornwall taken since July this year. The locations include Newquay Airport, RAF St Mawgan, Port Isaac, Davidstow and Bude.
Newquay seems to be a popular venue for Brize Norton crews undergoing training with 3 out of the 4 types based there visiting fairly regularly.

Very Nice!
Love the Davidstow Moor Tower shot.
I think it was the second Wildcat shot that could I possible see a mast from St Eval in the background?
Also, what was with the 'additional markings on the Wildcats?
Nice to see the AWACS still burning the old P&W engines.

They're destined for the Korean Navy, AgustaWestland have a pilot training centre at Newquay :)

Many thanks for the comments.

It was taken down by Spitfire Corner, bit of a gamble - if they backtrack along the runway it's a waste of time.
