Happy New Year - LN at Xmas

Post by JonoUK »

Happy New Year everyone,

A visit to Lakenheath is becoming part of the Christmas tradition for many, including myself. The turnout this year was phenomenal. After weeks of miserable weather it was great to have some awesome winter light and plenty of F15 action. It was good to bump into so many familiar faces on that Tuesday, I hope to see you all at the fence during 2016. So here's 16 for 2016 starting with some flame and thunder.

Lovely set Jon, & it looks like walking into the forest worked a treat for the top-sides, beats boring side-ons...

Thanks John, Appreciate it - glad you liked the series.
Cheers Stu, the forest is probably my favourite spot at LN, if they don't play ball you get side-ons anyway so win win lol

Agreed. Kinda wish I'd tried that spot. How big a lens is required?

Assuming you're on a 1.6 crop sensor I would say 400mm and above, ideally 500mm which will still require some cropping at times. You will be pushing it with 300mm unless they tip their wings fully.
