Quality not Quantity

Postby expat1 on Fri 19 Aug 2016, 8:41 pm

Here's a couple from the last 24 hours. Both shot from my front garden, or front yard as it's known in these parts!!
First off, Last night's United Launch Alliance, Delta 4 launch from Cape Canaveral with a couple of USAF Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) spacecraft on board.
Then today I caught this lovely E-4B turning finals into Patrick Air Force Base.
We don't really get much military aviation around here, but when we do it's usually pretty awesome. I couldn't get to my camera in time when 6 V-22s went over head all hooked up to 3 KC-130s. Learnt my lesson from that one and now have the trusty Canon and Tamron primed and ready at all times.

Very good post - another vote for the launch pic   Reminds me of my time in Florida and seeing the Shuttle lift off, when John Glenn went back to space in 1998.
