Was fortunate to be invited to the Lynx Mk8 farewell at RNAS Yeovilton and the opportunity of shooting air to air from a Chinook.

Conditions were not too favourable;

Thanks to all at Yeovilton, 815NAS and also the Chinook crew for making it possible.

Is that the end of the Lynx with the RN, or just based at Yeovilton?

It will be the end of the Lynx in service with the Royal Navy.

815NAS decommissions on 23 March, and will then become an all Wildcat squadron.

Nice shots especially considering the weather. Didn't know they were going so soon. :sad:

Just the ugly bug Mk 9s with the Army left after these. :hide:
