Apart from generally illustrating the ongoing tone-down of UK fast jets (Royal Anonymous Force?), no 6 seems to be a J with underwing tanks. When the J was introduced, it was said that as it was more efficient than the K, it could go further without them then the K with, hence they weren't required. Must be a specific need to go even further then, as most Js still seem to be clean-winged. Or are tanks becoming common?

The tanks have been fitted to a number of 130Js as it modifies the wing loading and reduces fatigue along the outer edge of the wing, I believe.
