After the massive Zaragoza event last year, perhaps it wasn't a huge surprise that Landivisiau was distinctly more low key. Not quite the 'Land of Visual Awe' we might have dared hoped for. That said, a perfectly enjoyable trip and I would certainly go back. A few highlights for me were:
- bagging the E-3 on the Monday
- E-2 party tricks on the spottersday carrying on from where it left off at Zaragoza (incidentally completely unplanned there, found themselves stopped a in a queue of aircraft with 100s of spotter lenses aimed at them so thought what the hell, we passed on hugely favourable feedback/thanks to the pilot on one of the nights out and maybe, just maybe this sank in)
- Tigre routine at the end of the spottersday
Unfortunately I've had various lens/body issues this year and so went very lightly armed. Hence a fairly tame set of imagery. Should give you a flavour of how we got on.

Looking forward to Poznan. Anyone find out where 2019 will be?

Semaine Deux de Landivisiau
Re: Semaine Deux de Landivisiau
Nice stuff, Rich. Loving the shots of the French Tigre.
Though if I may say, some of the taxiing shots like Nos 29 & 31 are a little down hill. Might need some levelling.
Other than that, a fine set!

I like the E-2 of the French Navy in the tiger scheme. The other pictures are also nice.

#49 for me, good set considering your problems.
Hazy memory but wasn't Germany suggested for 2019.

If you like these pics there are more utterly brilliant shots at https://www.flickr.com/photos/131094099@N08/albums

Many thanks Tommy, most kind indeed. The Tigre stole the show. Not sure if that kind of display so close to all the spotters would ever occur in the UK?!!
I levelled a few but wanted to post relatively soon rather than delivering the best possible. There was quite a slope:

It also shows how strange it was for a tiger meet. Aircraft already back before others going out. Very strange. Think Geoff pointed this out earlier.

Thanks, great effort from the E-2 crew again.

Thanks Andy. It's hard to recall after all the Tempranillo / Estrella but 2019 wasn't confirmed last May although 'Germany' had offered. Since then I've heard rumours of Mont de Marsan but didn't catch up with anyone at Landivisiau. To summarise, I don't know. Either plan good with me. Would fly to Toulouse for Mont de Marsan. I hope Poznan is as good (and cheap) as you have described.........
