Lovely photos. I see quite a few people got on. Were they all working for the Portsmouth Gazette!

You'd be a while waiting for an answer on that one I'd say.
Cheers

Quite. I don't think that he's prepared to say for some reason.

I do not know why I have to! I did not blag my way on as an alleged 'press bloke', it is case of 'connections' everyone has some sort of connection that gets them special access to things simple as that.

Re: On board the Bush (Merged)
But that's not acceptable. You must tell everyone who your contact is so they can all try and blag access!

I ask out of interest that's all, if effects doesn't wish to share, then that's okay.
I guess I would like to blag access (who wouldn't), but living up in Sheffield, there are a lot of logistics to consider. Which makes a visit a bit unlikely really. Am sure another carrier will visit at some point, so who knows.
So thanks again effects for sharing these pics Greatly appreciated.

I don't think that anyone is saying you 'have to'. It's obviously extremely difficult ordinarily to gain such access, and owing to the fact that these USN super carriers only visit Portsmouth about every four years or so that people are going to be curious as to how you managed it, and that's all I've got to say.

Always wondered how do they clear the Flight Deck with all those planes on it for Flying Operations I guess some are moved down into the below hanger area on the Aircraft Lifts.
