Excellent day today with the Canadian Hornets through Prestwick with a Tanker en route to Romania, and also a nice KC-135 in for night stop
from MARCH AFB so all in all not a bad day, anyway enjoy

Have to agree with you and the weather even played fair, nice shot's too, I really like the one with the vapour trails as the hornets depart. Any idea why the tankers don't leave first, when the jets they'll be refuelling could easily catch up?
Bit daft, but it's been bugging me all day.

Fighters leave first so that they are all airborne and serviceable before the tanker gets up. If the tanker went up first and one of the fighters couldn't, they would have to land, and apart from the fuel already used to get a heavy aircraft airborne, they may have to dump fuel to land.
"Nice pics mate" comments only! No criticism please.

Equipment: Camera, Lens, Goretex Y fronts.

Thanks for that makes perfect sense, which is more than I've been doing for most of today!
