Turkish MOD & Dutch Navy at Bournemouth (UPDATED)

One of the more rare types at Bournemouth Airport at the moment is this Turkish Ministry of Defence Beech B200 King Air, with the aircraft operating for the Turkish Defence Mapping Command.

The reason for its stay has been for extensive maintenance with MCA Aviation, with the aircraft spending the past 9 months with them. But only recently has the been seen outside, with the aircraft performing an air test last week in preparation for its return to Turkey. Luckily, it was outside the hangar earlier this week for tests on the transponder, which was a great chance to grab a quick record photo.

Yesterday turned out to be another grey and miserable day, with the Turkish MOD King Air parked outside all day in a slightly more favourable position. Dropping in for a quick re-fuel stop was a Royal Netherlands Navy NH90 NFH, doing a superb job of blending into the drab sky.
