Lossie 16th Nov

Post by Black Mike »

Not seen much on here from the Swiss deployment at Lossie. I managed to scrounge a day off work and made the short trek up the road.
A damn cold day but well worth the visit and with loads of Typhoon flying too, it made a great day out.
The night shots were a bit hit and miss as it was quite windy and the tripod was ineffective so I bumped up the ISO and shot hand held. Anything between ISO3200 and 8000 and 1/3s to 1/25s. They came out not too bad considering.

Great set but that last one is superb. Never seen night-time shots from Lossie before.

Looks like a half decent day out, despite the cold. I know what you mean about night shots, I tried it with the Gripens a few years ago, and as you say a bit hit and miss, but you've a couple of good ones there.
"Nice pics mate" comments only! No criticism please.

Equipment: Camera, Lens, Goretex Y fronts.

I do like 9 and 10 with the head on Typhoon and F-18.

Some cracking shots there - I'd be very happy with the night shots...

Best though are the Typhoon and Hornet head on's.

Great shots in fantastic light conditions. No 9 and 10 stand out for me. Thanks for sharing.
