Red Checkers

The aircraft is a New Zealand built machine called an 'Air Trainer'
The location is over the North island Volcanos

The bright yellow contrasts nicely with the blue sky. From memory, when in R.A.A.F. service, we called 'em 'Plastic Parrots' over on this side of the ditch. Were you inverted for #7?

Bootiful shots, what a stunning backdrop too :shock:

Is it just me, or do the black flaps make the shot from above look like the aircraft have landed on top of a very small toy mountain? :grin:

Nope, that one got me, too. Those dark trailing edges of the mainplane and tailplane definitely look like the shadow of the aircraft.
