A dull evening with the light down the tail. Could have been worse, it could have rained

Please tell me that isn't my namesake - a very large stick-on Garfield stuck on the front window of the cockpit??

Nice catches. Amazing that they sent the special on a deployment!

Thanks for the captures, enjoyable! Does anyone have any more information on their destination? Last year we had a rumour of A10s joining our annual austere road strip exercises (Baana and Ruskea) in Finland, from a longer term deployment in the Baltics, here’s hoping it was just delayed to this year!

That is a cracking special scheme, would love to see that pitch up at our shows in the summer.
Not bad results considering the conditions.

Isn't it just! Rumours of two staying at Mildenhall for D-Day events whilst the other six deploy onwards, so you would imagine that would be one of the two held back.

They could send them through OW on Sunday for a low pass around the corner if they like. I wouldn't complain.

Why not? I can hear Ben Dunnell explaining the 'Navy' link as the Thunderbolt 1 was definitely used in top-cover & suppression roles for the US Navy during the D-Day landings! IIRC.

From what I have heard all but two depart saturday Morning for 'the Baltic' and two on Monday via some flypasts in Germany? But that is only a rumour.
