A few different bases 31st July 2018

Post by tommc »

A usual Tuesday day out, taking advantage of the on-going Summer sun.

Cranwell was back in action, and the flightlines were already in use by 08:00. Prefect ZM321 was parked ready for use.

Over to Coningsby to take in some Typhoon action. Harsh sunlight meant the only resonable location was the approach end, so a few standard uninteresting angles. Can't be much longer left for this airframe.

Great to see some colour still hanging on, here a 29 Sqn T3.

An 11 Sqn marked FGR4.

Nicely marked 41 Sqn T3.

Of course, a large cloud heaved into view as the 27 Sqn Chinooks returned! Nice to have some colour on it though.

A much more anonymous looking Chinook HC6 .

Across to Marham to get some departure shots on runway 19. Not long left for the Tornado fleet.

What a day!

Lovely bright pictures. My favourite is actually the heat-haze covered Tornado. You can practically hear the distant rumble from the photo itself.

You certainly got about a bit that day. Nice to see the Tiffy T3 selection.
