Danish MH-60R and a Skinny Dragon @ Prestwick

Post by dinger »

Two highlights during a brief visit to Prestwick for the Joint Warrior 19-1 visitors. My main aim was to bag the VP-4 P-8A which I did in the early evening light but the undoubted highlight was Danish Air Force 976 which came in for a splash of fuel.

Well worth the drive up.

Nice catch!

Is there any particular reason for the amount of military movements at Prestwick compared to other airports?

I do like that Danish MH60R, something I'd love to see rock up at Fairford this year, but they will probably be on task somewhere

... and also gets the least amount of fog of any airport in Europe.
Posting comments on an aviation-related chatroom, are ya? Looks like it an' all...

These were here specifically for the exercise. There's a lot of building works going on at Lossie.
