Search and Rescue - Photo Thread

Post by TonyO »

Further to previous threads where we have looked at specific aircraft and helicopter types , now I thought it would be a great idea to concentrate on aircraft in particular roles, so lets see images of aircraft that operate in the Search and Rescue role. Ideally these are marked in high-vis schemes to identify them as such, but not always.

There are also numerous fixed-wing types that take part in this role. So lets see yours...

Three images per post please and kudos to rare operators...

I'll start, with a couple of images, the first is a Danish SAR Merlin, snapped at AgustaWestland at Yeovil before delivery and the second is a SARTU Griffin at Dawlish...

A "Post your..." topic that most people can post in...everything ok Mr O? Sure you wouldn't have rather done "SIGINT aircraft of Guatemala"?

When have I done that then?

The last one was Gazelles (49 posts) and VIP (51 posts) aircraft before that...

Anyway I've never been to Guatamala

Just a joke based on the fact that one of your previous "Post your..." threads (can't remember which) was a bit more niche

Anyhow a rummage around PB finds these. Old shots so not my best.
