Spam Warning
Had a few people contact us to say that they've been contacted via PM with dodgy looking links from a member called "profilicus". This member has been banned, but if anyone finds a PM in their inbox, delete it.
Had two spammers evading the filter this week - I'll get Pete to take a look ASAP. In the meantime, be vigilant and report anything you think looks suspect and we'll investigate.
Regards,
Dan

Re: Spam Warning
Nothing to do with UKAR, but I've suddenly started getting a massive increase in viagra and various other porn e-mails this past week or two, so someone has obviously gotten hold of my e-mail address who I would rather didn't. Thing is I use this e-mail address for almost everything, so it would be such a hassle to make a new account that I really can't be bothered - I'd rather just wade through the spam.

Re: Spam Warning
Just a suggestion; I do realise that Spam is extremely rare on here.
Could a restriction be made to only allow the PM facility to members who have made a certain number of posts. Although this would compromise the amount of users who would recieve the updates PMs.

Any Spam E-Mail's, or dodgy ones for that matter are automatically removed by my internet provider. (AOL). Used to hate those pop up's though.
