Team Merlin gets a makeover-new website
With winter hopefully a distant memory and the airshow season officially begun, the Team Merlin website has had a makeover, courtesy of UKAR's very own web wizard, Dan Butcher.
Whilst the format is essentially the same, the pages and content have been markedly updated with a new cool, crisp design to reflect the combination of elements that make up the Merlin Force and Team Merlin.
You will also notice that whilst we are still supporting our long standing charity Dreamflight, we are also supporting Help for Heroes this year. Any donations that are made or collected throughout the season will be equally split between the two.
Once again, the intention will be to report on the events that we attend this year and use some of your images where possible. To launch the site, there is already a report on last weekends season opener at the Abingdon Air and Country Show.
There is also a feeback/contact form with a new Spam free address (so far!) making it easier to contact the team and also two downloadable posters that can be used as wallpapers, screensavers etc.
As the Team Merlin website is hosted and supported by http://www.airshows.co.uk and UKAR it is only right to take this opportunity thank the owner, Mr Osborne, for allowing this to happen.
I am sure Dan B is too modest to accept any praise for his work but I am sure any comments would be more than welcome on this thread.
We look forward to seeing you all out and about whilst we represent the Royal Air Force Support Helicopter Force along with our Chinook and Puma brothers and sisters.
Regards from all on Team Merlin

Re: Team Merlin gets a makeover-new website
Hi all,
After a busy few weeks during 'silly season' we have got around to updating the TM website with reports from:
RAF Cosford Air Show 2009
Kemble Air Show 2009
Biggin Hill Air Show 2009
All can be seen here at: http://www.teammerlin.airshows.co.uk/gallery.html
Please remember these are simple anecdotes and views from members of the Team and not professional aviation reports!! There are however, some of your pictures and photos included.
(Ed- If anyone has any pics from Cosford, do let me know as I am wondering if the boys actually went! )
A report from last weekends Waddo show will follow shortly.
Regards from all at TM and see you at RIAT (with no rain hopefully!)

Re: Team Merlin gets a makeover-new website
I was at Biggin Hill Airshow this year, and I must say, Team Merlin was amazing.
Even though it was static, the helicopter is amazing. Beautiful.

Re: Team Merlin gets a makeover-new website
After a short delay whilst we waitied for a CD of images to arrive, the RIAT gallery is now online.
Next report from the team will be Dawlish, and we'll be on the lookout for some photos of them at that show.
Information on the aircraft and the Merlin Force has also been updated btw.

Re: Team Merlin gets a makeover-new website
Hi all,
After a busy week, we finally got a chance to reset and have a day of rest!! Thank you to all those who sent in photos for the website. Sorry not all of them were used but the high standard of images meant we had to select a few for each report.
There are now reports from Dawlish and for a different perspective, a report on Benson Families Day from UKAR's very own Dan Butcher with his take on events.
Both reports can be found here:
http://www.teammerlin.airshows.co.uk/gallery.html
The next report will be from Dunsfold Wings and Wheels and as usual if anyone has any images of our day there including the departure then please contact us via PM here or PM Dan (LN Strike Eagle).
Cheers all.
