Damn, I had hoped the Gladiator would be at Duxford to team up with TFCs.

Why, oh why, do we have to have these ludicrous clashes with Duxford... It's nonsensical.

Does seem rather strange. Would like to have gone to OW as well.

I agree with the comments on the clash of dates, seems very silly!
But I suppose that Duxford and OW tend to share items, or they used to...so, it would benefit both!

Gnat is no longer on the list, but we have gained Martin Willings' T28 Fennec, beautiful display last Saturday though

Who owns the Fairchild Cornell? I'm guessing its wearing military colours.

If both Glads are attending I may take a look at this one.

Surely the common sense would be to have Old Warden and Duxford on seperate days that weekend, one on the Saturday and one on the Sunday? Why does it always seem that airshow organisers NEVER speak to one another?

It's the first time it's happened - long been tradition that they take separate dates during October (usually Old Warden the first Sunday, Duxford the second or third). Duxford has moved forward.

IF the :vulcan: is airworthy in time then might there be a chance of a flyby? it's pretty much on a direct path from Brize is it not?

Old Warden shows have almost invariably been the first Sunday of the month for years (other than the sunset shows of course). I think that the clashes have been progressively introduced by the easterly airfield over the past decade. In the 90s common sense prevailed - IIRC the Spitfire 60th show at Duxford was on May bank holiday 1996, the day after the Shuttleworth double header the previous 2 days.

As a rule Shuttleworth shows are the first Sunday and third Saturday of every month, get your next years calendar out (available from www.shuttleworth.org) now and stick a pin in those dates.

Duxford moved for whatever reason.

No it's not.

Regardless of the reason, or who's 'fault' it is, it's still madness.

Probably the one that is flying around Norwich at the moment, I don't know of another one. It is in a blue and yellow USAAC scheme.
