Jet Trainers - Your Shots

Post by TonyO »

Just been thinking about a nice topic that UKARers could apply their minds to and next year's RIAT theme got me thinking. So lets see your jet trainers.

Now several rules apply, we don't want to see reams of low-level Hawks or indeed Alpha Jets, aircraft from aerobatic teams (Red Arrows, Patrouille de France) don't apply, the aircraft pictured have to be used for training and powered by a jet engine, oh and be in military service when the photo was taken...

There should be loads of options, T-37s, T-38s, Hawks, Alpha Jets, MB339s, L-39s, M311s etc - Kudos for rare and prettily-marked aircraft, and just three per post, but of course as many posts as you wish...

I'll start, firstly with a Fouga Magister of the Belgian Air Component and a T-1 Jayhawk of AFTC...

They're not low level, but they are Hawks I'm afraid Tony. Oh, and a Magister too...

What a great start, but there's always one, Seamus has already broken the rules, don't think the Gnat and Hunter were military when snapped...

I am not going to allow this Hunter victimisation to go unchecked, so here is one in RAF service when the photo was taken!

237OCU Hunter T.7 XL591 at RAF Fairford 1986.

Also at Alverca, but in the shade was 1907.

Finally, and aslo Alverca 1987 is T-38 2605.
