Airbourne from the Wishtower Balcony (Updated)

Post by JohnH500 »

Hi There

Spent an enjoyable afternoon watching the free airshow at eastbourne from the balcony in front of the Wish tower cafe on the seafront.
Sun came out just before the flying started and a very enjoyable display it turned out to be

Its last day is tomorrow, so if you fancy checking it out... its well worth a visit.

John

Really like the first shot, lovely blue sky behind it and a lovely sharp photo! The vapour coming off that first shot of the Typhoon is possibly the best vapor shot I've ever seen, you can see how much it's squeezing the air! Last shot of the Phoon is also lovely too.

Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks to everyone for the positive comments and glad you liked the pictures... for a free airshow there was a terrific variety of aircraft, in fact it would have been good even if you had to pay..

If it's on next year i shall definitely be returning.. a few more shots for you, together with the 1st shot of the typhoon vapour sequence.

John

Hi Timuss

The bulk of them are shot on an EOS 1DMKIII with a 500 F4L lens... for the F16 shots I added the 1.4TC to up it 700mm equivilant.

Blimey! As a matter of interest I've just looked at that lens and converter on Warehouse Express, and you could get a pretty good car for what they would cost! Still, very good shots that's for sure.

Usually find 'seaside snaps' a little dull (apart from Dawlish)....these were exceptional. Typhoon in natures own wind-tunnel !
