Vintage Weekend
Vintage Weekend
An excellent Headcorn Weekend, Military Vehicle Show and Vintage fly in.
The highlight of Saturday was the unexpected fly past of the Sabre on its way to Eastbourne.

James as per your request in Jen's post, a picture of the parachute team before departure to Eastbourne, well done lads it was a good display.
Re: Vintage Weekend
Excellent photos once again. Particulary like the almost head on Sabre, and the P-51 underside. Good to see you again on Saturday.

Re: Vintage Weekend
Hi Richard, great photos as usual. The Sabre was definitely the highlight... 1st or 2nd pass though?
When did you take the photo of CDC? I'm just wondering as I took a friend up on Saturday and can't quite make out if that's him or not.
PS - there seems to be a very high concentration of Richards in this thread. What is going on?

Hi Richard !! ( and another one )
The almost head on shot of the Sabre was the first pass, the other two were the second pass down the runway.
The CDC shot was taken later in the day when Gavin was flying, I will look to see if I have any of you and your friend.

Re: Vintage Weekend
The Sabre and Texan head-ons, and the P51D roll do it for me. Lovely photos.
Agreed. I can live with that and the WWI team replicas (the Sopwith aircraft in particular look very 'real'), however the 'Spad' replica with the ridiculous oversized wheels I can do without.

As far as "fake" looky-likies go, that "FW-190" doesn't look too bad.

A very nice selection of shots.
Good to see the P-2. Is that the only active one in the UK nowadays?
