<Insert Plane Here> To the Sky Trust
<Insert Plane Here> To the Sky Trust
So, the Vulcan to the Sky Trust appears to have been a success, in as much as we're getting to see her fly now; for how long remains to be seen
If you could have a trust set up to restore any past airplane to flight, which one would it be? (Doesn't have to be RAF, it can be from anywhere in the world)
Mine would be SR-71 To the Sky, purely based on the fact I never got to see one fly
That aside it would be Lightning To the Sky, as it made such a great noise
(As not airshow specific, moved to Aviation Waffle. Brian)

Staying within the realms of possibility - Jaguar.
There's plenty of classic British jets I'd like to see flying, too, but I can't see any of them happening - Lightning, Victor, Javelin, Swift, maybe even the early Harrier marks, etc etc.

Re: <Insert Plane Here> To the Sky Trust
I would go along with the SR-71, as I was at Finningley the year it chucked it down, not sure if it was due to fly but was gutted when I saw it, but not in the air.
I was only a young'un then!

Can't narrow it down to one but:
Sea Harrier
Lightning
Javelin
Victor
Concorde
Jaguar (single and/or twin seat)
Buccaneer
(Supermarine) Attacker
Pucara
Belfast
Any use?

With dumb bombs and retarded bomblets, why don't they just use stupid missiles?

PS: Sea Harrier, good one. I would like to add Mirage 2000 to my list.

Re: <Insert Plane Here> To the Sky Trust
I think they should just rebrand vulcan to the sky as V-Force to the sky or Classic RAF to the sky

Echo that, but I'd also be happy with any of the 30s-to-50s twin-engined military hot-rods - Whirlwind, Hornet etc. What about the Grumman Skyrocket?!
Valkyrie was my silly answer!

Mosquito. Sorely missed.
I would also love to see a Shorts Stirling in the air. What a beast it looked.
Modern jet-wise - Lightning. Just to see it do a race-off v a Typhoon in a pairs take-off.

Need I say, I'm with you all the way on that one!
Pity that there isn't one left to restore though....
And as the smart ship grew,
In stature, grace and hue,
In shadowy silent distance grew the iceberg too....

Realistically, a Buccaneer.
