Buccaneer - but enough of them to demonstrate all the colour schemes used. In fact, all navy aircraft that flew from Lossie in the 50's and 60's.

Nowt wrong with being greedy

The Jag is reckoned to be pretty underpowered with the reheat - I don't think removing it would be seen as a step forward in flight safety!

A friend of mine who works at Boscombe always used to joke that the slight 'hump' in their runway was so that it gave the Jag a slight 'jump' into the air. Either that or requiring the circumference of the earth to get airborne!

Yes indeed - there were some photos of the Tempest posted here and on other forums earlier in the year, it certainly looks quite spectacular. Though I'd rather see a Napier Sabre powered Tempest V than the Centaurus engined machine...

TFC's Beaufighter was rumoured to have been sold to Australian (though the restoration would continue in the UK until she's ready to fly, before being shipped out there), though the rumours at the start of the season were that the sale had fallen through and it is staying here.

This.

My short list would look something like:
1) Mosquito
2) Sunderland
3) Bucc.

The Lightning would probably top the list, but the CAA would never allow it.

Thanks for that. Looking good! Whatever people say about airshows "not being as good as they used to be", it is hard to deny that there aren't some exciting restoration projects out there.

The Buccaneer certainly has some friends, I would love to see one being demonstrated as they used to be,
just imagine standing on the "hill" at Farnborough and looking down at a Buccaneer on a fly past, the h&s people of today would have collective heart attacks.

My choice

Buccaneer (surprise surprise)
Mosquito
Victor
Valiant B2 (no I haven`t cracked up)
Lightning (we can all dream)
Javelin (had problems but always looked great)
