That is indeed a big difference since I visited with my son at the very end of August. Looking good, well done! I must stop in some time on my way to/from Yorkshire via Duxford. I suspect I would have much more time to consider my shots than was the case when he accompanied me. By the way, being able to go inside the Vulcan was for him the highlight of his school holiday (he is 13), even more so than seeing '558 fly at Shoreham after having missed that sight several times.

I was surprised myself the other evening at the difference in the appearance and it will be even better when it’s all completed. The Russian markings certainly give it an edge.

Nice to also hear that your son enjoyed his look inside ‘594! We rely on our volunteers to open the cockpits so we cannot always guarantee them being open – however we make a special effort to rally the ‘cockpit opening team’ during the school holidays and at special events. Hopefully there will be some open again during the Photo Shoot on October 17th and at Half-term at the end of the month!
